Dr. Peter Moran, the managing director of Kord, presented a kangaroo statue to Ogden City on Monday, Aug. 19, at 1:30 p.m. on the front steps of the Ogden City Municipal Building. The statue was given in appreciation of the support and collaborative spirit Ogden City showed Kord in the process of establishing their new office in Ogden.

Kord’s new facility at Business Depot Ogden is focusing primarily on production planning, quality control, assembly and testing. Kord is partnering with a range of local suppliers across the Wasatch Front, and they expect to be production ready by the end of 2019.

The statue was presented to Mayor Mike Caldwell and Mark Johnson, Ogden City’s chief administrative officer. It will be included in future displays of Ogden’s “Trail to Pioneer Day Horses” project. Community members and media representatives also attended the presentation.
