Kord Group Strengthens Global Engagement at SOF Week 2026 with Team Defence Australia

11 June 2026
Kord Group recently returned from SOF Week 2026 in Tampa, Florida, exhibiting once again as a part of Team Defence Australia, representing Australian innovation at one of the world’s leading special operations events. Held from the 18th - 21st of May, SOF Week brings together the global special operations community, including defence industry, government, and military personnel, providing a unique environment to explore and promote emerging capabilities and technologies as well as to strengthen international collaboration.
As one of the selected Australian companies to exhibit within the Team Defence Australia pavilion, Kord Group was well positioned to connect with a diverse cross-section of global partners and stakeholders. Throughout the week, our team engaged with operators, program representatives, and industry leaders, reinforcing the relevance of Australian-developed technologies in addressing evolving operational requirements.
A key focus of our presence at SOF Week 2026 was the demonstration of Kord’s Rifle Accessory Control Unit (RACU) System. Designed as a centralised, intuitive control solution, RACU enables operators to seamlessly control multiple weapon-mounted and body-worn electronic devices without disrupting their tactical posture — supporting the critical principle of maintaining situational awareness at all times.
The ability to provide hands-on demonstrations was a highlight of the event, with visitors able to experience firsthand how the RACU simplifies device interaction and enhances operational efficiency, safety and lethality. These direct engagements continue to be invaluable in demonstrating the practical benefits of Kord’s technology and its application across a range of scenarios.
Kord Group was represented on the ground by a dedicated team, including Managing Director Dr Peter Moran, whose presence underscored the importance of engaging directly with international partners and strengthening relationships across the global defence ecosystem. The scale and diversity of participation at SOF Week continue to make it a key forum for meaningful customer interactions and industry collaboration.
Dr Moran said that “Kord’s latest programmable soldier system control technology, had received strong interest across a broad cross-section of attendees, which he was confident would lead to new commercial opportunities for the Group”. In addition, he said “I am extremely grateful to the Australian Government for its ongoing support of Team Defence Australia, which had played an important role in Kord’s recent export success in the US Defence Market.”
Beyond the exhibition floor, SOF Week provided an opportunity to build on existing partnerships while initiating new conversations that will continue beyond the event. Strong interest in the RACU System reflects an increasing demand for integrated, user-focused solutions that improve performance, safety, and decision-making at the individual operator level.
Kord Group’s participation at SOF Week 2026 further reinforces their commitment to delivering innovative, practical technologies for those operating at the front line, and to continuing to represent Australian capability on the global stage alongside Team Defence Australia.
