Kord Group Showcases Innovation and Engagement at SOF Week 2025

13 June 2025
Kord Group gained significant attention at the SOF Week 2025, held in Tampa, Florida, demonstrating the latest advancements in our RACU Control System Technology to a diverse international audience.
As a part of Team Defence Australia, Kord showcased its Rifle Accessory Control Unit (RACU) System, demonstrating how the RACU system provides a centralised control interface for a soldier's array of weapon-mounted and body-worn devices, empowering them to maintain situational awareness with their "head up, eyes on target, hands on weapon" ®.
This capability shaves critical seconds off device operation, a significant advantage in intense combat scenarios. A soldier needing to communicate while maintaining a tactical stance normally must remove a hand from their weapon to access the push-to-talk button on their body, which causes them to look away and lower their weapon. The RACU provides a "Common Remote" to ensure that soldiers can focus on the target, while maintaining fast and effective operation of their electronic devices.
The level of attention garnered at SOF Week 25 comes as no surprise considering the RACU system's demonstrated effectiveness through its operational deployment with the Ukraine Military and extensive testing by the United States Marine Corps. Recently, KordUSA was awarded an Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity [IDIQ] Contract from Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) to provide its RACU System Technology for evaluation by the U.S. Army as the Common Remote for the Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW).
Dr Peter Moran commented "The level of interest in our RACU Technology was very pleasing and clearly demonstrates the requirement for enhanced and more streamlined operational capabilities for the individual soldier." As Dr. Moran has previously stated, "Our focus is always on providing tangible benefits to the warfighter in real-world scenarios".
